I'm a graduating Journalism – Mass Media student at Durham College. I found an interest in journalism through sports. I enjoy following and writing about sports, news, and entertainment. Beyond writing, I am passionate about photography, as well as videography and editing.
Much like everyone else, my life has completely changed during this COVID-19 pandemic. My classes have been moved to online which hasn’t been the easiest transition to adapt to. The change has definitely taken a toll on me.
Not only has the pandemic moved my classes online, it has also moved my placement online. On a positive note, my colleagues and I were able to come up with an idea to fulfill our internship requirements.
Through this podcast, we are proving we can meet the needs of our program, while simultaneously using our journalistic skills to piece together an informative show.
I’ve been doing my part by staying at my home during this time of social distancing. At home, I spend most of my time playing video games with my friends as a way to connect with them since I can’t leave my house.
One way I’ve been able to get outside and get some air has been going for walks around the block with my parents and keeping my six-foot distance from everyone else. I’ve also even been trying to work on golfing in my backyard by getting some chipping and putting in while the weather is nice.
